(About)

I build small Mac apps that do one thing well and then get out of your way. Native, open source, and made with an unreasonable amount of care for the details you only notice when they are missing.

Every app here is free and open source. If one of them saves you a few minutes a day, a coffee keeps the next one coming.

Privacy

The short version: I don’t collect anything about you. Not on this site, not in the apps.

This website

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no accounts and no newsletter. Nothing you do here is recorded by me.

Two things still leave your browser, as on almost any site: the fonts load from Google Fonts, and download sizes and release notes are read from GitHub. Both see your IP address when they answer. The company hosting this site may keep standard access logs.

The apps

SayWords: Apple speech and Whisper run on your Mac. Soniox and AI text editing are optional: when you turn them on, your audio or text goes to the provider you chose, with your own API key. Dictation history stays on your Mac for 24 hours and API keys live in the macOS Keychain. The app checks GitHub for updates once a day; you can turn that off.
PanelLight: Makes no network connections. Your settings stay on your Mac.
Healthy Battery: Runs entirely on your Mac. No telemetry, no analytics and no account. A once-a-day check for new releases can be turned off in Settings.
Portside: No analytics and no server of its own. History, page pictures and the output of servers it started stay on your Mac; environment variables that look like secrets are never saved. Site previews open each running server’s own localhost page in a hidden web view for a moment, so anything that page loads from the internet loads then too; you can turn previews off in Settings.
Sticker Studio: Still in development. Your stickers, day plans and pictures are saved on your Mac. Only the weather sticker goes online: it sends the city you type to Open-Meteo and asks for the forecast there, with no location access.
WiZ Sync: Still in development. Video and sound are never recorded; only colour values travel to your lamps on your local network.

Support

Payments are not open yet. When they are, they will run through GitHub Sponsors or Polar. Your card details go to them and never reach me.
